Scheduled Cargo Operations Launch from Shanghai to Amsterdam

Uzbekistan-based cargo airline My Freighter and its cargo sales agent Air Cargo APAC, part of ACN group of companies have officially launched a new international route connecting Shanghai (PVG), Tashkent (TAS), and Amsterdam (AMS). The flight will operate 2 times per week using Boeing 767-300F, with a total transit time of just 17 hours. This marks My Freighter’s entry into scheduled cargo operations — a milestone made possible through its partnership with Air Cargo APAC.

The route was designed as a smart logistics solution, linking China’s largest manufacturing and export hub with one of Europe’s key cargo gateways via strategically located Tashkent. This allows My Freighter and Air Cargo APAC to offer an effective alternative to the region’s congested transit points such as Dubai and Istanbul.

We see a big potential demand from the customers who are interested in this new routing“, – Dmitry Kulish, Director of Air Cargo APAC comments. “We know that My Freighter can provide the customers with the value of transporting dangerous and oversized cargo and we can make this scheduled cargo operations beneficial for all the stakeholders. We want to grow further and increase the frequency of the flights to provide more capacity to the market and to become one of the key-players at the market“.

“Today we just introduced our first regular flights with My Freighter out of Shanghai to Amsterdam, two flights a week, on the 3rd and the 6th. At the same time, our plan is to increase the frequency of flights on this particular route to daily by the end of the year, Alexey Zotov, GM of Air Cargo Green Capabilities, part of ACN group of companies, comments. In parallel, we are looking at introducing new markets like Hong Kong and Seoul to Western Europe, to airports like Frankfurt. We deliver as promised, which is very important.”

As part of the strategy to develop Tashkent into an international logistics hub, the Uzbek capital is becoming an increasingly important transit point, offering:

  • fast and efficient ground handling,
  • the option to deliver cargo not only to Amsterdam but also to Tashkent and other CIS countries,
  • favorable conditions for handling urgent, oversized, and dangerous goods, including lithium batteries and electronic components.

The priority cargo categories on this route include automotive parts, high-tech equipment, semiconductors, e-commerce shipments, and express cargo.

According to WTO forecasts, China’s exports to Europe are expected to grow by 6% in 2025, driven by the redirection of trade flows from the U.S. market. My Freighter’s new route addresses this growing demand by providing a fast, reliable, and efficient logistics link between China and the EU.

To mark the launch of the new route, My Freighter and Air Cargo APAC hosted a major event in Shanghai, bringing together leading partners and agents from across China. The event featured an official route presentation and discussions on future cooperation.
